I have borrowed this week's
song of the week from the Summer '16 video I made in Albacete. Happy days :)

Summer '16 :) |
The queue to get in! |
Muscle! |
More muscle! |
A handy little runabout |
A new car for Trixie? |
It's them Dukes! One of 7 replicas up for auction. |
Mobile BBQ |
Bugatti Veyron |
Not street legal, so a pretty limited buying market I should think. |
RHD - this needs to be in the UK! |
In addition to a LOT of cars, there was a wonderful selection of fantastic artwork which I am sure will become timeless heirlooms for future generations:
Girls and guitars. What's not to love? |
The crowning jewel for any art collector. |
A must-have piece for any art afficionado. |
How do these people make any money? |
And finally, an idea that I would like to steal for our new garage:
Great idea. But how do you open the driver's door on the Jeep..? |
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday followed a similar pattern: work, swim, snooze, bike. But on Thursday night, I barely slept. Partially due to excitement in anticipation of Trixie's arrival and partly due to worry that she would be driving from Wereham to Heathrow in the Freelander which has not had much use lately.
Friday couldn't pass fast enough but the messages from the UK started trickling in: first a 30-minute delay to the flight. Then 1 hour. And finally 2 hours. Argh! But, I made it to Sky Harbor Airport in plenty of time to meet my beautiful wife. And my drunken work colleague! Whilst Trixie had taken time on the flight to watch a couple of films and do some reading, Maps had taken the opportunity to make some new friends in the galley and booze non-stop from London to Phoenix. Mind you, he has had a rough week, so I did cut him a little slack!
On Saturday, Trixie and I visited the South Mountain Park, which is one of the places that I have previously visited on my bike:
The view wasn't that good. |
Still not bothered about the view. |
And on Sunday, we visited the
Sunday in the Park Food Truck Festival in Surprise (Surprise in this instance refers to a city north of Phoenix; rather than the state of feeling mild astonishment or shock caused by something unexpected). It was very nice with music provided by a live band and we even found some vegan food!
